|A prerequisite for your application is a successfully finished Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering (= 210 ECTS).|
Additionally, your cumulated grade point average should be 2.5 (German standard) or better to participate in the selection process for admission. You also need to prove your English language and German language proficiency.
Exception: Conditional admission can be granted to European applicants with a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering (180 ECTS). An application by European applicants with an unfinished degree is possible under specific circumstances. Please contact us for further details.
Applicants with a degree from Germany, please apply via our application portal.
Applicants with a degree from outside of Germany, please apply via uni-assist. Please see here for application details.
Our Master Program has restricted admission. A limited number of places is offered every semester, summer and winter term. The competitive selection process is carried out every semester anew.
The regular start of the study program is in the summer semester. A start in the winter semester is possible and offered every winter term. (In this case you study the classes of the first and second semester in reverse order … thus, no problem!)
Here you find our newest study and examinations regulation.
„Having the opportunity to immerse myself in an international atmosphere while studying in an industry-focused program is rare – especially for engineering fields. I couldn't pass up this opportunity.“
The three-semester master's degree in Mechanical Engineering builds on a seven-semester Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. A special feature is the consistent, international orientation. The language of instruction is English throughout. The course can be carried out semester by semester at partner universities abroad (International Design Engineer).
