14th Workshop "Low Liquid Flows in Medical Technology"
September 15th 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
Conveying, dosing, measuring, controlling
The flow of fluids inside and outside the human body plays an important role in medical technology. Safety and reliability of numerous medical devices (e.g. dialysis machines, infusion pumps or in vitro diagnostic devices) require the safe and reliable handling of small volume flows.
The accurate delivery, dosing and measurement of fluids (body fluids, medications, analysis fluids) represents a major part in our projects. Therefore, our working group organizes an annual workshop with external speakers, a poster exhibition and an industrial exhibition as well as a presentation of our own projects in the laboratory to promote the exchange of interested parties.
This year the workshop will take place as an online-only event and will begin with presentations from the "Metrology for Drug Delivery" - project, funded by EURAMET, the European Association of National Metrology Institutes.
During the break it is possible to organize "break-out-sessions" to discuss on an individual basis or to explain laboratory set-ups.
We will have three more talks on microfluidic applications in medical technology and a discussion afterwards.
You are interested to participate in the online-session during the break (break-out-rooms) with a poster or present your projects?
