Degree Seeking Students

International students have different options to study at the Technische Hochschule Lübeck: either within a full time bachelor or master degree program or as part of an exchange program.

While most of the degree programs are primarily taught in German, we also offer international programs taught exclusively in English.

    German Language Skills

    The Technische Hochschule Lübeck offers four Master Programs entirely taught in English. Therefore, a German Language Certificate is not required, however proof of sufficient knowledge of English is mandatory. For further information please consult the webpage of the respective program.

    The study center of Technische Hochschule Lübeck and the University of Lübeck offer "German as a Foreign Language" courses for international students during the semester.

    German Language Skills

    The bachelor and master programs listed above are mostly taught in German. Therefore, to successfully take and finish courses, international applicants1 and exchange students should be fluent in German. This translates to the B1/2 level of the Common European Frame of Reference for Languages.

    The language center of Technische Hochschule Lübeck and the University of Lübeck offer "German as a Foreign Language" courses for international students during the semester.

    1 International Applicants: Applicants who obtained their university entrance qualifications from a school that is neither in Germany nor German-speaking.
