  • Approval of graduates of electrical engineering of the Technische Hochschule Lübeck

    Approval to the master program is possible for graduates with comparable qualification, if the following amounts of ECTS are established in the described fields:

    • 40 ECTS in mathematics and natural scientific fundamentals
    • 50 ECTS in fundamentals of electrical engineering and information technology 
    • 60 ECTS in core subjects and specializations in electrical engineering
    • 15 ECTS general topics or non-technical courses 
    • 15 ECTS Diploma thesis or Bachelor thesis 

    If ECTS are missing in certain fields, a declaration of a restricted approval is possible under the following conditions:

    Missing ECTS have to be less than or equal to 10 ECTS for graduates of a Bachelor program with a designated period of study of 7 semesters.

    Missing ECTS have to be less than or equal to 40 ECTS for graduates of a Bachelor program with a designated period of study of 6 semesters.

    For a full approval those students have to attend courses of the Bachelor study programs ESA or EKS and to pass the required examinations designated individually by the technical committee of the master study program of Applied Information Technology.

    In all remaining cases the socalled Einschreibordnung of the Technische Hochschule Lübeck is to be applied.

  • Approval of graduates with comparable qualification

    Approval to the master program is possible for graduates with comparable qualification, if the following amounts of ECTS are established in the described fields:

    • 40 ECTS in mathematics and natural scientific fundamentals
    • 50 ECTS in fundamentals of electrical engineering and information technology 
    • 60 ECTS in core subjects and specializations in electrical engineering
    • 15 ECTS general topics or non-technical courses 
    • 15 ECTS Diploma thesis or Bachelor thesis

  • Required expertises and fluency

    For the master program of Applied Information Technology the following skills  are required:

    • Fundamentals of software design
    • Object-Oriented Programing skills
    • Fundamentals of electrical engineering
    • Digital technology
    • Fundamentals of control engineering
    • Microprocessor technology
    • Skills in mathematics
    • Appliaction of MATLAB
    • Fundamentals of computer architecture
    • Digitale Signal Processing
    • Fundamentals of control theory

    Courses are given in German or English depending on the individual courses. Applicants, who want to participate in the master program with a designated period of 3 semesters, need both good German and English language skills. All courses of the 2nd and 3rd semester are taught  in English.
