Quality Management in the Department
As task and objective of our quality management in the department Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration, we understand “The pooling of all quality-related activities and objectives of our department under the responsibility of the deanery”.
We assume each member of our department endeavors a high quality of his work.
The quality management supports this effort in such way, that it takes effect on the entire department. For this purpose, we developed and introduced a quality management system according to DIN EN ISO 9001 by creating the required organizational structure and documentation:
- of the for us important quality defining processes,
- of the for us important methods and procedures and
- the resources provided and applied for.
In October 2005, the certification audit performed by two auditors from Germanischer Lloyd Certification GmbH (GLC) happened and on 21st November 2005, the certificate was issued. The formal handover of the certificate no. QS-3578HH by a managing director of Germanischer Lloyd Certification GmbH took place within the New Year reception of the rectorate of THL on the 26th January 2006.
In the meantime, the quality management system of the department has been continuously improved and respectively adapted to the valid and amended norm. Since, several recertification audits by the DNV GL Business Assurance Zertifizierung & Umweltgutachter GmbH (meanwhile formed by merger) have been carried out. The valid certificate represents the topicality of the quality management system (see figure).
