Interests

I worked as a research associate at the Center of Excellence for Communication, Systems and Applications at Lübeck University of Applied Sciences from May 1, 2016 to January 9, 2026. As part of my master’s thesis, I focused intensively on indoor localization and the development of a positioning system based on the time difference of arrival of signals.

In my doctoral research, my focus was on the study of wireless networks, particularly on improving their coexistence and robustness in license‑free frequency bands. In addition, I am interested in distributed systems, hardware development, sensor systems, system development, and artificial intelligence, with wireless networks being my primary research area.

My research work also included participation in various projects, including DRAISE, M4KK, TGZ, 5G‑TELK‑NF, Baltic Future Port, O5G‑N‑IoT, and AKTIV. As a research associate, I contributed to the development of the µLoc positioning system, designed localization algorithms, patented a method and device for simple drift compensation of local timekeepers, and built LoRaWAN and IoT platforms. I actively incorporated these experiences into my teaching. This included, among other things, exercises, the supervision of practical courses, and my work as a transfer manager.
