I found my time as a research assistant at CoSA very good. The activities were varied, exciting and challenging. Of course, they were also exhausting at times, but that's part of the job if you want to create something new. CoSA offers a good environment for this, is broadly positioned, networked and there is enough freedom for your own topics. If you want to know more about me and my career, then look here

There are currently no vacancies for the CoSA (Communication - Applications - Systems) competence centre.

In addition, we will soon be starting new projects in the area of 5G and other wireless network technologies such as LoRaWAN, as well as with a focus on AI algorithms.

I am at CoSA because I really enjoy scientific work. I find it exciting to get involved in new complex problems and to advance the state of research with my own ideas. The experience I gained during my studies at the CoSA competence centre convinced me that I can develop both personally and professionally here.

What makes us different

Lübeck University of Applied Sciences is Lübeck's largest university with approximately 5,000 students in over 30 degree programmes. Around 130 professors teach and conduct research in four departments. The technology and knowledge transfer, the e-learning area as well as the international study programmes of the university are extraordinarily successful and recognised nationwide. The University of Applied Sciences is also one of the universities with the most third-party funding in Germany.

The CoSA Competence Centre in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science is a research-intensive part of the University of Applied Sciences. Respected, in demand for research and development projects and always active in not only demanding expertise from its staff, but also in constantly expanding it. We have many exciting projects in different subject areas, such as the Internet of Things or maritime technology, so that everyone can contribute their skills and strengths in a targeted way. We work together in a social and open-minded team that is always happy to welcome new colleagues.

Are you interested?

In addition to the advertised positions, we always offer the possibility of a speculative application.

If you are interested in working with us, please send us an application by email or contact us by phone if you have any questions about working with us as a student or staff member.

Are you interested in one of our current research projects and would like to work on it? Then the first step is to contact the person responsible for the project, who is named in the project description.

I am still a student. How do I get in touch?
Just write an email to the CoSA director, Horst Hellbrück, that you want to get to know us. If we know what you're interested in, we'll put you in touch with the right colleagues right away.

I am a physicist or mechanical engineer. Is CoSA something for me?
We are looking for motivated employees who are open to new ideas. In our medical projects or in sensor technology we also have many tasks for physicists and mechanical engineers.
