Program

Costs
When applying for the Summer School, you can choose between two participation packages.
Package 1 – Course Fee (250 €)
The course fee includes:
- All academic sessions, company visits, and social activities
- Welcome breakfast, dinner at the Strandsalon (beach bar), and final BBQ
- Certificate of Participation issued by Technische Hochschule Lübeck
- 3 ECTS credits**
Package 2 – Course Fee + Accommodation (737.50 €)
This package includes:
- All components of the course fee listed above
- Accommodation in a hostel, including breakfast for a total of 13 nights (arrival on the Sunday before the program starts, departure on the Saturday after the program ends)
Please note:
The costs for public transportation, daily lunch, and dinner (except for the meals mentioned above) are not included in either package. We recommend purchasing the Deutschland Ticket, which allows travel within Lübeck and throughout Germany. Further details can be found on the official website.Additional practical information will be provided to students accepted into the program. Participants are also responsible for arranging their own health insurance.
Financial Support
Unfortunately, we do not offer scholarships for the 2026 Summer School. We encourage participants to explore funding opportunities such as Erasmus+ or to contact the International Office or Study Abroad Office at their home university for possible financial support.
Accommodation
Students may either arrange their own accommodation or choose to stay in a hostel reserved by TH Lübeck, located near the city center with access to public transport and local amenities. Accommodation is provided in shared rooms with up to six participants, including breakfast.
The accommodation cost is 487.50 € in total (37.50 € per night × 13 nights).
For further details about the hostel, please refer to their website (link). Participants who choose Package 2 (Course Fee + Accommodation) do not need to make any additional arrangements. The final booking will be handled by TH Lübeck; participants only need to complete the payment after they have been accepted to the program.
Application Process
The application pool is open and remains open until April 1, 2026.
Registration Requirements
Our summer school is designed for curious and motivated students looking to engage in an international academic setting. You are eligible to apply if you:
- are at least 18 years old
- are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program
- have a sufficient level of English proficiency to actively participate in lectures, group work, and discussions (B2 level recommended)

What Happens Next?
- After submitting your application, you will receive a confirmation of receipt. Your application will then be reviewed.
- You will be informed by email whether you have been offered a place. If accepted, please confirm your participation within the given deadline. You will then receive an invoice for the participation fee of €250, or €737.50 respectively for Package 2.
- Further information will be provided in due time before the start of the Summer School.
Cancellation Policy
Once you have accepted your offer and confirmed your participation, the participation fee of €250, or €737.50 must be paid by the deadline stated on the invoice. Any bank transfer fees or charges incurred during the payment process must be covered by the participant. Please note that the participation fee cannot be refunded in the event of cancellation.
