Application for Bachelor´s Degree Programs
Applicants who obtained their university entrance qualification outside Germany usually apply via uni-assist, the service center for international study applications. Uni-assist evaluates whether applicants meet the admission requirements for the selected degree program at Lübeck University of Applied Sciences.
Applicants holding one of the following qualifications may apply directly via the university application portal (cams.th-luebeck.de):
- Feststellungsprüfung completed at a Studienkolleg
- Certificate of equivalence with grade calculation for foreign educational qualifications issued by a German Ministry of Education (Bildungsministerium)
- European Baccalaureate (European secondary school leaving certificate)
- Evaluation report issued by uni-assist.
For the bachelor’s degree programs in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, and Business Administration, applicants must first register at hochschulstart.de before submitting an application via the uni-assist portal.
After registration, applicants will receive a two-part identification number consisting of a BID (Applicant ID) and a BAN (Applicant Authentication Number). Both the BID and BAN must be entered during the application process on the uni-assist portal.
Please note that applications for these programs must be submitted exclusively via uni-assist. Applications submitted through the university’s application portal will not be considered.
Exception: For the bachelor’s degree program in Architecture, applicants must first successfully complete the qualifying examination (Eignungsprüfung), which is conducted by the Faculty of Civil Engineering at TH Lübeck. Only after passing this examination may an application be submitted online via uni-assist.
How does applying via uni-assist work?
- Register on the uni-assist application portal at my.uni-assist.de.
- Create an online application for your desired degree program.
- Upload the application and all necessary documents.
- Pay the uni-assist processing fees. Uni-assist will only begin processing your application once the fees have been paid.
What happens next?
Uni-assist will review your application documents (processing time approx. 4-5 weeks). You will receive the review results via your uni-assist account under “My Mailbox.” If the result is positive, uni-assist will forward your application digitally to TH Lübeck, and you will receive your login details for our application portal via email.
TH Lübeck will make the final decision on admission and inform you via the application portal. The procedure is the same as described above.
Please note: We cannot provide any information in advance as to whether your educational qualifications meet the admission requirements. You can find out whether your certificate is sufficient for studying in Germany on anabin, the information portal for the recognition of foreign educational qualifications. Conditional admissions are not granted.
