ES2020 Entrepreneurial Skills
Project duration: 2019 – 2021
Project partner: Technische Hochschule Lübeck, Life Science Nord Management GmbH, oncampus GmbH.

Project background
As workplace requirements become more complex, the entrepreneurial skills of people in SMEs are becoming increasingly important in order to remain competitive. For companies in the IT industry in particular, the challenges posed by the digital transformation are especially demanding in terms of flexibility, speed and creativity. The increasing need to deal with uncertainty and openness to results also presents SMEs with entirely new challenges.
In Schleswig-Holstein, companies in the digital economy are mostly small units. Around 72 % of companies in the sector have a maximum of seven employees. Thus, entrepreneurial knowledge and the associated skills are mostly concentrated on the founders or owners. However, the corresponding skills should be more broadly based in order to be able to act flexibly and innovatively for the company's future.
Project goal
The innovative capacity of SMEs in Schleswig-Holstein in the IT cluster is to be strengthened in the ES2020-Entrepreneurial Skills project by means of online qualification offerings. To this end, the Institute for Learning Services at the Lübeck University of Applied Sciences and the Lübeck Technology Center are developing demand-oriented online training courses on the topic of "Entrepreneurial Skills" in a modern and contemporary digital format that is oriented to the reality of work.
The online qualification offers for the digital economy in Schleswig-Holstein are offered by oncampus GmbH at www.oncampus.de for SME employees and represent a deliberate supplement to the other qualification offers focused on presence around entrepreneurial skills for SMEs.
Target group
During the trial phase, the online services are initially aimed at employees in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with a place of business in Schleswig-Holstein. After that, they will be offered nationwide for a fee. The ES2020-Entrepreneurial Skills project in Schleswig-Holstein is funded by the state's Labor Program with resources from the European Social Fund. More information: www.EU-SH.schleswig-holstein.de.
