Project goal
WISY@KI links the continuing education databases of the states of Hesse and Schleswig-Holstein, which are based on the open source system WISY ("Weiterbildungsinformations-System"), in order to optimize the design of the portals and to jointly implement future innovations. Subject-related, content-related and technical overlaps and differences between the two state portals are identified and taken into account. Based on established competence models, manageable competence descriptions will be developed and transferred to the taxonomy of the databases. A structure will be developed, which records the competencies and preferences of the searchers in a practicable way and intelligently compares and links them with the educational offers of the databases. As a result, searchers receive an individualized educational path that includes recommendations for suitable continuing education offerings as well as alternative educational paths, support and counseling information. Searchers, HR managers in companies or consultants can store this education path in an account, call it up at any time and thus generate personalized recommendations on an ongoing basis. This creates visible added value for searchers and other beneficiaries. As a personal "scout," WISY@KI makes educational information more transparent and easier to find, thus increasing the tailored participation in job-related education and training.
In this way, the project is developing an AI-supported matching of course searches and mapped continuing education offers, taking into account the biography and competence of those seeking education - and is implementing this directly in two country portals. The project partners are working closely with strategic partners as well as with network partners and actors from the education industry, companies and trade unions, and are integrating their expertise and functions into the project in a targeted manner.
